Located across from the Post Office at Dolores and 5th Avenues is the diminuative Carmelita Park. In typical Carmel-by-the-Sea style, this mini park hides the entrance on the NW side of 5th to a 100-car parking garage located underground. The garage stretches underneath a low cost senior housing project administered by the Carmel Foundation. Here is a wonderful calm oasis where one can read one's mail or chat with friends.
